Here are some of the experiences and practices of the Ningyang County Water Affairs Bureau in terms of grass carp embrittlement:
First, culture conditions: grass carp embrittlement culture can choose to carry out in ponds or cages. Pond requirements: less silt in the bottom of the pool, adequate water supply, good water quality, no pollution, easy access to water, area of ​​1330 to 2000 square meters, water depth of 2 meters or so, according to conventional requirements before restocking clear pond. The cages can be installed in the leeward sunny areas of lakes, reservoirs and rivers. Water requirements: no pollution, rich dissolved oxygen, water depth of 4 to 7 meters, flat bottom and waterless plants born. A fully-enclosed cage with a size of 5m 4m 2.5m and a mesh size of 5cm is used. A 30-mesh gauze pad is placed on the bottom of the cage as a feeding station to prevent feed loss. The new cages should be washed 7 to 10 days in advance to soften the boxes and float some of the phytoplankton to prevent bruising. The used cages should be cleaned and soaked in a 5% lime solution for 30 minutes. .
Second, fingerlings stocking: Choose grass carp as a kind of fish with a healthy body, no disease and no injury, and an average tail weight of 0.5 kg. The pond stocking amount is 150-250 kg/mu, and the net cage stocking amount is 15-20 kg/m2. In order to regulate the water quality, each pond can be used with stocking bream and bream with 13 to 15 centimeters in length and 50 to 60 tails. Each square meter of cages can be stocked with 13 to 15 centimeters long oysters and bream species 1 to 2 tail. Before stocking, grass carp is best immunized, and grass carp can also be soaked in 4% saline solution for 5 to 10 minutes.
Third, the embrittlement season: from the spring water temperature above 15 °C grass carp feed until the winter can be stopped before eating can be embrittled aquaculture treatment, if you take the wheel catch or staged batch culture mode, each round or each batch of embrittlement The time of farming should not be less than 60-70 days.
IV. Aquaculture management: The feed is mainly made of high-protein broad beans, plus a small amount of grass, but no other feed can be added. At the beginning, you can stop for 2 to 3 days, and then feed a small amount of soaked broad beans (weak beans can be soaked with 1% saline for 12 to 24 hours). After the grass carp can feed normally, it can be fed regularly and quantitatively. Under normal circumstances, feed once every 8 o'clock in the morning or around 5 o'clock in the afternoon, and the specific feeding amount should be adjusted according to the feeding conditions of grass carp and the change of water temperature. When the water temperature is 16~19°C, the daily feeding amount is 1.5%~2.0% of the body weight of grass carp; when the water temperature is 19~22°C, the daily feeding amount is 2.0%~3.0% of the body weight of grass carp; the water temperature is 22~25°C. It is 3.0% to 4.0% of the body weight of grass carp; when the water temperature is 25 to 28°C, the daily feeding amount is 4.0% to 5.0% of the body weight of grass carp; and the daily feeding quantity at water temperature of 28 to 30°C is 5.0% to 6.0% of the body weight of grass carp.
