Detection of tuberculosis can be observed under the microscope. Drug sensitivity test Arias et al., University of Alabama, Birmingham, USA, use microscopic-observation drug-susceptibility (MODS) test to detect the sensitivity of respiratory specimens to M. tuberculosis. Both sex and specificity are good, and the test results can be obtained in about 1 week, which has application value in areas where medical resources are relatively scarce. [Clin Infect Dis 2007, 44(5): 674]
At present, it is necessary to establish a method for inexpensive and rapid detection of clinical specimens of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The MODS assay is a method of examining M. tuberculosis in broth cultures under a microscope. This method is relatively economical, simple, and fast for areas with limited medical resources.
The prospective study was conducted in Brazil and Honduras. The researchers evaluated the effect of MODS detection on M. tuberculosis in patients with potential tuberculosis using smear microscopy, Roche culture, and microscopic observation of drug sensitivity. The specimens of the patient's respiratory tract were cultured and cultured, and the specimens were also cultured using the MGIT 960 automatic mycobacterial culture system. Tuberculosis is considered to be positive if the patient's respiratory specimens are cultured in Roche's medium at least once for M. tuberculosis.
The results showed that the researchers analyzed 1639 respiratory specimens from 854 patients. Based on 1 patient, MODS sensitivity was 97.5% and specificity was 94.4%.
The median time of positive culture results in the Roche medium method and the MODS method were 21 days (17 to 25 days) and 7 days (5 to 10 days, respectively, P < 0.01). A total of 64 specimens were cultured using the MGIT 960 Automated Mycobacterium culture system, and the median time to positive results (8 days, 6 to 11.5 days) was similar to the MODS method (P = 0.16).
The contamination rate of MODS culture was lower than that of Roche culture (3.8% vs. 5.8%, P<0.01). ——Midi Medical Network
We specialize in producing pig drinking systems, which is made of stainless steel or plastic. It is mainly used for sows or piglets to drink water. Pig drinking systems is an automatic drinking water equipment. Our pig drinking systems design that keep dung out of the water bowl no blind corner, so the Pig Drinking System is always clean and also saves water. We have advanced manufacturing technology, so can have a high yield and high quality. Our pig drinking systems is uniquely designed to keep the stool away from the pig drinking systems, so keep the bowl clean. Taps on the bottom of the bowl to ensure that there is not much water bowl of water, saving water. The bottom is 1.0mm thick stainless steel plate, making the water bowl durable.
