Abstract: The setting of heat sealing parameters directly affects the heat sealing strength of soft plastic packaging bags for pharmaceutical packaging. The heat sealing strength is an important physical and mechanical performance index of soft plastic packaging bags. This paper introduces a method for determining the heat-sealing parameters of a granular drug packaging bag, and introduces a method for determining the heat-sealing parameters for the majority of users, which solves the problem of poor heat-sealing strength of the packaging bag caused by improper setting of heat-sealing parameters. The problem is provided as a reference. The test equipment used in the test process was GHS-03 double five-point heat seal gradiometer and XLW (PC) intelligent electronic tensile test machine produced by Jinan Languang Electromechanical Technology Co., Ltd.

1 , meaning
The heat sealing strength refers to the sealing fastness of the heat sealing of the soft plastic packaging, which is also called the heat sealing strength and the sealing strength. The strength value is directly related to the heat sealing parameters such as heat sealing temperature, heat sealing pressure and heat sealing time. If the heat sealing parameter setting is too low, the heat sealing layer is difficult to be truly fused together, the heat sealing strength is low, and cracking, gas leakage and the like are likely to occur at the sealing portion, and the drawing phenomenon is likely to occur when the bag is cut, which affects the packaging bag. The appearance of the heat seal parameter is too high, the heat seal is prone to shrinkage, and even the root seal of the heat seal of the package may occur, causing the package to break the bag at the root of the heat seal. Therefore, it is of great significance to determine the appropriate heat sealing parameters.

2 , the status quo
At present, there is no relevant standard for determining the heat-sealing parameters of soft plastic packaging in China. This paper tests according to American Standard ASTM F2029-2008 "Testing Method for Determining Heat Sealing Performance of Soft Plastic Packaging by Measuring Heat Seal Strength ".

4 , testing equipment
This article covers two testing equipments, namely GHS-03 double five-point heat sealing gradiometer and XLW (PC) intelligent electronic tensile testing machine. Both testing equipments are independently developed and produced by Jinan Languang Electromechanical Technology Co., Ltd.

4.1 Test principle
The basic principle of the whole test is that the sample is heat-sealed under different heat-sealing parameters. According to the surface state of the sample after heat sealing and the heat-sealing strength value, the suitable heat-sealing parameters of the sample are determined.
4.1.1 GHS-03 double five point heat seal gradiometer
This equipment is heat sealed by means of hot-press sealing. The sample is heat-sealed by setting parameters such as heat sealing pressure, heat sealing time, heat sealing temperature, etc. The device has five independent temperature-controlled heat sealing heads, which can respectively control the temperature.
4.1.2 XLW (PC) intelligent electronic tensile testing machine
The device has two upper and lower clamps, the upper clamp can move up and down, and the lower clamp is fixed. During the test, the sample is clamped between the two clamps, and the two clamps are moved relative to each other. The force value sensor located on the movable clamp head and the displacement sensor built in the machine collect the force value and displacement change during the test, thereby calculating the end of the Zui test results.
4.2 Scope of application
(1) GHS-03 double five-point heat seal gradiometer
- It is suitable for heat sealing test of various plastic film, plastic composite film, paper-plastic composite film, co-extruded film, aluminized film, aluminum foil, aluminum-plastic composite film and other film materials.

4.3 Equipment parameters
(1) GHS-03 double five-point heat seal gradiometer
- The heat sealing temperature is controlled from room temperature to 250 °C , the temperature control accuracy is ±0.2 °C , the heat sealing pressure control range is 0.1MPa ~ 0.7 MPa , and the heat sealing time is in the range of 0.1 ~ 999.9 s .
- Digital PID temperature control technology not only can quickly reach the set temperature, but also effectively avoid temperature fluctuations.
- Manual and pedal test start mode and anti-scald design can effectively ensure the convenience and safety of users.
- The equipment can complete five sets of heat sealing tests at one time, and obtain the heat sealing performance parameters of the sample accurately and efficiently.
- The five upper heads are controlled by five cylinders to ensure the stability of the heat sealing process.

(2) XLW (PC) intelligent electronic tensile testing machine

5 , the test process
(1) Six specimens of 30 cm in length and 15 cm in width were cut from the surface of the sample .
(2) Open the GHS-03 double five-point heat sealer, set the heat seal pressure and heat seal time. The temperature of the lower heat seal head can be set to a certain temperature or keep the room temperature. The heat seal temperature of the upper heat seal head can be adjusted according to Set a certain temperature gradient.
(3) When the upper and lower heat seal heads reach the set temperature, take two samples and stack them together (the two heat covers are in contact with each other), and put the long side of the sample into the heat sealer for heat sealing.
(4) Taking the high heat sealing temperature of the upper heat seal head mentioned in (2) as the starting point, respectively set the heat sealing temperature of the five upper heat seal heads according to a certain temperature gradient, and follow the steps in (3) . The sample is heat sealed, and so on, until the sample is heat sealed.
(5) Two strips of 15 mm wide are cut from the heat seals corresponding to each heat seal temperature , and the spread length of each strip is at least 10 cm .
(6) Open the XLW (PC) intelligent electronic tensile testing machine and set the parameter information such as sample width and test speed.
(7) The sample strip is clamped between the upper and lower clamps, and the long axis direction of the sample strip coincides with the center line of the two clamps. Click the test option and the test starts. After the test is over, the instrument automatically displays the test results.

(8) Repeat (7) until all strips have been tested.
6 , test results
In this paper, the heat sealing pressure is set to 0.3 MPa , the heat sealing time is 1 s , the lower heat sealing head temperature is set to 100 °C , the heat sealing temperature of the upper heat sealing head starts from 130 °C , and the temperature gradient is increased by 5 °C , ie The heat sealing temperature of zui is 200 °C . The average heat seal strength at each heat seal temperature is shown in Table 1 . The test results of the XLW (PC) intelligent electronic tensile testing machine are exactly four decimal places, and only two digits after the decimal point are retained in this paper.

During the heat sealing process of the sample, when the heat sealing temperature is above 180 °C , the heat-sealed portion of the sample shrinks. Therefore , the heat sealing strength value in Table 1 is combined to evaluate the temperature of the sample. The range is from 155 °C to 175 °C .
7 , conclusion
The heat sealing parameters have an important influence on the heat sealing strength of the medical soft plastic packaging heat sealing. The GHS-03 double five-point heat sealing gradiometer and the XLW (PC) intelligent electronic tensile testing machine can quickly determine the soft plastic packaging.
