Pear sapling growth characteristics
Pear saplings grow vigorously with a high germination rate, medium branching ability, and strong dryness. After the long branches are short and truncated, 2 to 3 branches can be drawn under the cuttings. The branch angle is small, and the crown of the young tree stands upright. After entering the big tree in the result period, the angle is still not easy to open and the crown is small. The secondary buds are well developed, prone to renewed shoots, and the ability of short shoots to transform into medium and long shoots is strong.
Saplings usually start at 2 to 3 years, with lower early yields. Saplings are dominated by short fruit branches, and the number of long fruiting branches is also large. Mature trees are dominated by short fruit branches, but there are still more long-fruiting branches. Fruit benches usually have 1 to 2 secondary shoots. Therefore, it is not easy to form a large and compact short fruit branch group. Short fruit sticks have a long life, and the resulting parts move faster. Consecutive fruiting ability of fruiting branches is weak, and if the perennial short fruiting branches or short fruiting branch groups are not updated in time, the fruit setting rate is low. The new fruit branch results are better, and the young fruit branch is sensitive to pruning and easy to update and rejuvenate.
Sapling pruning and shaping measures
When saplings are shaped, it is appropriate to use a sparse layer or a spindle. When pruning, attention should be paid to the use of bending or curve rising method to open the main branch angle to prevent excessive dryness and strong weak phenomenon. The specific pruning method: lightly cut the main branch of long stay and extend the head, leaving more branches on the main branch. For branches on the main branch, sparse or not sparse, in order to increase the growth of the main branch, control the stem. To deal with trees that are too strong in the middle, you can adopt a way to drop your head and become happy. The long-medium fruiting branch adopts the method of first placing and retracting, that is, first slowly putting into flowers, and then retracting and cultivating after the result, and the strong twigs cooperate with pulling branches, curved branches and ring cutting, etc., and the effect is better.
