Recently, a farmer friend has reported to us several times that the strawberry he planted on his face looks relatively normal. After a while, he can look at it again, the roots change color, and then the whole strawberry wilts and the severe section causes the lack of seedlings. Hey. The author went to his strawberry greenhouse on-site inspection and found that mainly caused by strawberry root disease, one is the root column rot in the red column, and the other is root rot.
The root rot in the red column is more severe in the lower ground. The initial symptoms of the roots are red or reddish in the center column and then gradually dark brown and rot. The edges of the leaflets at the base of the above-ground seedlings begin to turn reddish-brown and then wilting again, but the leaves are green. The disease is a kind of root rot Phytophthora root disease. It is a soil-borne disease. When the local temperature is below 20°C, the oospore begins to germinate and invades quietly from the root of the strawberry. When the rainfall is frequent and the ground temperature is 10°C, the disease is induced. Become serious. However, if the temperature rises gradually, the disease will be alleviated accordingly.
When the initial symptoms of root rot occur, the edges of the base leaves show a reddish-brown color, and when severe, the leaves of the whole plant shrink and die from the bottom up. The central column of the susceptible root is red or reddish-brown, and then turns dark brown and decays. The important sign of the disease is that the central part of the root that is not rotted is also red. Root rot is a low-temperature Phytophthora infestans, which is a soil-borne disease but only harms strawberries. Strawberry grown in low fields or in poorly drained fields has a high chance of getting sick when the ground temperature is below 25°C.
The symptoms of the two diseases are somewhat similar, and the environmental conditions and transmission routes of the two diseases have similarities. Therefore, prevention and control measures should be implemented together. From the perspective of agricultural prevention measures, one is to implement crop rotation for crops; the second is to select disease-resistant varieties; the third is to open wells in the fields and surrounding areas; in particular, cultivation of sorghum should be done so that rain and ditch can be done; Strong seedlings; Fifth, increase organic fertilizers and enhance disease resistance. In terms of chemical prevention and control, one can use 50% manganese zinc aluminum wettable powder to soak the seedlings before planting; two can use 70% ethosphosphine manganese zinc wettable powder 500 times liquid to irrigate; three can use 20% disease Yike emulsion 2000 ~ 2500 times spray; four can use 3% oxygen water agent 600 ~ 800 times Irrigation root.
