Penaeus vannamei breeding management practices in autumn

In the autumn, when the temperature difference changes, the algae are prone to stress and death. The dissolved oxygen is easy to be lost. At the same time, as the organic matter consumes a large amount of dissolved oxygen, the shrimp pond can be severely deprived of oxygen and even cause a large number of deaths. In response to the above issues, the following management measures are proposed for the Penaeus vannamei culture ponds:

1, water quality management. The temperature difference between day and night in autumn has changed greatly, and it is easy to cause the stress response of shrimp. At this time, the water should be kept at l.6~l.8 meters. Every morning, at noon, the oxygen is turned on for several hours (2 to 3 hours at noon and 6 to 8 hours at night). Oxygen-enriched preparations are available to prevent sudden oxygen depletion. If the transparency of the water body is less than 20 cm, it is necessary to adjust the water quality in advance, and microbial preparations such as EM bacteria or photosynthetic bacteria or water changing can be used.

2, bait feed. The main feed is fresh and high quality white vannamei full feed. Adhere to hard-working investment, less investment, feeding 4 times to 6 times a day, generally to check the bait station to stay less than the principle of residual bait, to master the food within 1 hour to 1.5 hours after feeding is better. When the dissolved oxygen is less than 4 mg/L, no feeding is performed; when the water quality is poor, feeding is less; when the north wind is blown, when the temperature is low, feeding or not feeding is reduced; and a large number of clams of shrimp are fed less on the same day.

3, daily management. Adhere to the daily morning, evening and mid-night patrol to check whether the various facilities are in good condition. Focus on observing the changes in water quality of the shrimp ponds and the activities of the shrimps, checking the power supply and water supply facilities, observing the presence of sick shrimps, etc., and finding solutions to any problems. For example, in the middle and later stages of cultivation, generally about 200 shrimps are randomly sampled around the pond every 3 days to 5 days to see if they are normal. In the case of sudden increase or decrease of feed in the shrimp, and in the case of abrupt climate change, such as heavy rain, water exchange, etc., which can induce shrimp disease, it is necessary to use a rotary screen to check if there are any problems. In view of the fact that autumn prawn is prone to shell change, growth and physiological inactivity, and soft shell, regular multi-dimensional, immune polysaccharides, allicin or hepatoprotective herbs can strengthen the prawn resistance.

4, from the catch listed. In order to reduce the risk of aquaculture, shrimps that meet the specifications of commodities should be caught and listed in time to maintain a reasonable culture density and promote the healthy growth of shrimp. In general, round catches can be conducted in July. The specific time should also be based on pond conditions, stocking conditions, and the growth status of shrimps, so as to maintain a proper density of the ponds.
