What is the reason?
First of all, in the early stage of planting, pay attention to watering near the reflective screen, and water should be sufficient to avoid burning seedlings caused by strong light and high temperature. The effective time of the use of the reflective screen is generally from November to April of the following year. For a solar greenhouse without a back slope, the reflective curtain needs to be hung on the north wall, and the front of the aluminized film should face the sun, otherwise the film surface is too close to the wall, and the aluminum film will fall off due to moisture. After use every year, dry it in the air and store it in a ventilated and dry place for reuse.
Secondly, the reflective screen must be used in the solar greenhouse that reaches the photosynthetic temperature. If the greenhouse is not well insulated, it is effective to increase the temperature and ground temperature in the greenhouse by using reflective screens during the day, but it will inevitably be damaged by the low temperature at night. Because the main function of the reflective screen is to increase the light intensity and daytime temperature at the rear of the greenhouse, expand the temperature difference between day and night at the rear, and tap the potential for increasing the yield of the rear crops.
In addition, the angle and height of the reflective screen need to be adjusted appropriately according to the season and crop growth. In winter, the height angle of the sun is small, and the height of the reflective screen is generally short, especially for dwarf crops. The bottom of the reflective screen should be close to the ground or close to the top of the plant, and it should be hung vertically or the upper side should be slightly inclined to the south.
When cucumbers and other melons and tomatos and other solanaceous high-stalk vegetables are in the fruiting period, the plants are taller and the leaves have increased requirements for light. Especially in the morning and evening when the light is strong, the hanging height of the reflective screen should be appropriately increased to the bottom. The position should be raised to near the top of the tall crops, and the angle should be slightly inclined to the south.
In spring, the height of the sun increases by itself. The upper edge of the reflector should be tilted to the north, and the reflector should be adjusted to maintain 75-85° with the ground level, so that the sun’s height is within two hours after sunrise and two hours before sunset. The reflected light is basically level with the ground.
