3, the number of leaves retained in the whole plant is too small, the fruit is bare to the outside, most of the fruit surface is exposed to direct light, easily causing the temperature of the fruit to increase, inhibiting the synthesis of yellow carotenoids. Direct light favors the synthesis of green chlorophyll. Scattered light contributes to the synthesis of yellow carotenoids. The shaded fruit receives more scattered light and first expresses the carotenoid yellow. Therefore, the fruit covered by the leaves is colored well.

4, improper use of water and fertilizer. In the late stage of melon fruit setting, 10 days before listing, it is not particularly arid, do not water, watering will significantly reduce the sweetness of the melon. The melon should pay special attention to the application of potassium fertilizer during the growth period, and the potassium fertilizer can obviously improve the quality of the melon. To control nitrogen fertilizer, excessive application of nitrogen fertilizer will not only reduce the sweetness of the melon, but also make the accumulation of nitrite too much, which is harmful to the human body.
