Teladoc, the first online provider, announced that it had completed 240,000 remote visits in the first quarter of 2016, a 61% increase from the previous year's nearly 150,000.
Teladoc announced a 575,000 visits in 2015 with a total revenue of approximately $77 million, an increase of 78% compared to $43.5 million in 2014.
Teladoc's two sources of income: subscription payments brought in $63.3 million in revenue, and pay-per-views generated $14.1 million in revenue. In January, Teladoc added 870 new customers, 40% of which came from Fortune 500 companies such as Dell, Monsanto, Panasonic and DuPont.
