In addition, activated carbon has a strong dechlorination ability, and it is not adsorbed in this process, but because residual chlorine has strong oxidizing property, residual chlorine reacts with carbon to form carbon dioxide-1 valence chloride ion, so only a small amount of loss is lost. Carbon, so dechlorination of activated carbon can be used for quite a long time. Activated carbon not only has the above functions, but also removes odor and pigment in water and improves the clarity of water. After using activated carbon for a period of time, its adsorption capacity decreases and needs to be regenerated or replaced. Therefore, after the raw water is treated by the carbon filter, the water quality can be greatly improved, and the pollution to the reverse osmosis membrane can be reduced. After the treatment, the water quality can reach the requirement of the reverse osmosis water quality (residual chlorine <0.1 mg/L), in order to prevent higher The concentration of chloride ions produces strong corrosion on the surface of the multi-media tank. Therefore, the inner wall of the carbon filter is treated with anti-corrosion treatment to improve the service life of the equipment.

Activated carbon plays a big role in four aspects:
Reduce the oxidation requirements of water.
Avoid the ingress of organic matter, which can damage the post ion exchange bed.
Effectively remove residual chlorine from the water.
The removal of trihalide (THM) in water, especially its adsorption effect on chlorine is almost 100%, effectively protecting the service life of the reverse osmosis membrane.
